软件概览

VOXEL-MAN 3D Printing

VOXEL-MAN 3D Printing is an optional application for the VOXEL-MAN ENT and VOXEL-MAN Dental training simulators. With this app and a 3D printer, you can create unique physical models of your virtual patients, simply at the touch of a button:

  • Teaching models of your surgery: Preoperative, postoperative, and – as a unique novelty – even  intraoperative

  • 3D models for complementary exercises in the surgical training lab – with exactly the same anatomy as in virtual training

  • 3D models from your own CT data (in connection with VOXEL-MAN My Cases)

  • 3D models of the parts that were removed during surgery.

The 3D models can be saved in all common 3D printing formats including Wavefront (OBJ), Stereolithography (STL), Additive Manufacturing (AMF) and 3D Manufacturing (3MF), making it compatible with almost all 3D printers. Both single-material printing for bone, as well as multi-material printing for bone and other structures are supported. Different quality levels can be selected to optimize print quality and speed.

These images show an intraoperative 3D model of a temporal bone, printed on a Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printer. The model on the left shows the opened mastoid. The implant-like part of the bone that was milled away during surgery can be printed seperately (center) and reinserted (right).

This image shows another intraoperative temporal bone. A transparent filament was used for the bone, so that various anatomical structures such as facial nerve and tympanic chord (yellow), sigmoid sinus (blue) and incus (brown) become visible. The model was printed on a Stratasys J55 3D printer.
